The technology initiative SmartFactory-KL has elected Dr. Haike Frank to a seat on its Executive Board at the Annual General Meeting held on May 13, 2020. She succeeds Dr. Thomas Bürger, who resigned from the board effective on Dec. 31, 2019. In her new position, she will work with Prof. Dr. Martin Ruskowski (Chair), Andreas Huhmann, Strategy Consultant for Connectivity & Networks at Harting Deutschland, and Klaus Stark, Head of Innovation Management at Pilz. Dr. Frank is currently “Director, Marketing Lighting & Imaging” at Schott. In applying for the position, she cited her motivation “to strengthen the practical development of the SmartFactoryKL portfolio for Industrie 4.0 customers” and “to realize greater potential by challenging members to intensify cooperation within the association.” We welcome and look forward to her contributions!
