Many visitors took the opportunity to discover more about SmartFactoryKL and the SME 4.0 Competence Center Kaiserslautern at the “Future Exhibition”.At the booth of the SME 4.0 Competence Center, guests received detailed information on the topic of digitalization. Max Birtel, researcher at SmartFactoryKL, illustrated in his talk “Using production data; how Mölle GmbH digitalizes its production facilitiy” how digital applications can be introduced to existing production facilities.
In the afternoon, Prof. Dr. Martin Ruskowski, Head of the Innovative Factory Systems Department at DFKI, gave a speech on “Implementation of artificial intelligence and AR in the production of the future”. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Zühlke, CEO of SmartFactoryKL, introduced the Industrie 4.0-production plant. Many interested guests were able to receive an immediate impression of collaboration in the network. The panel discussion with Malu Dreyer (Minister President of Rhineland-Palatinate), Informatics professor Dr. Anna Katharina Zweig (Technical University of Kaiserslautern) and Prof. Dr. Martin Ruskowski concerning “Intelligent Society: Artificial Intelligence as a tool” complemented the day successfully.
The conference in Kaiserslautern welcomed about 300 participants and was hosted by the Future Initiative Rhineland-Palatinate.
