The conference “4th Industry Revolution” which took place in Seoul (Korea), from November 1-2, 2016, focused on “Changes of technology, industry and social trends with intelligence information, smart life and smart manufacture”. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Detlef Zuehlke, CEO of Technologie-Initiative SmartFactory KL e.V., held a keynote speech on “Industry 4.0: the next industrial revolution?”

Hosted by the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning/IITP, ETRI, KIST-EU, KITECH, the event was attended by 1000 visitors from Government, domestic and overseas academia as well as experts and manager of industrial-educational projects.
