SmartFactoryKL took part in “Research Night” („Nacht, die Wissen schafft”) in Kaiserslautern on April 13, 2018. More than 200 guests took the opprtunity to visit the world’s first and largest manufacturer-independent Industrie 4.0 production line.
On Friday, April 13, 2018 at 7 pm, the research institutes located along the institute mile and at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern opened their doors for visitors. The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) presented various research projects and offered several presentations on its latest results.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Ruskowski (DFKI) gave a presentation on “The role of humans in the production of the future” which about 100 guests took interest in. Afterwards, more than 200 citizens took part in an exclusive tour of SmartFactoryKL. The presentation of the manual work station played a central role. Here, SmartFactoryKL and its members from industry and research develop worker assistance systems.
